Southern Queensland Landscapes is a community-based, not for profit membership-based organisation that thrives on collaboration. Membership is open to individuals whose primary place of residence is within the Southern Queensland NRM Region or companies and organisations whose primary place of business is within the Southern Queensland NRM Region. Membership is free and provides the opportunity to be actively involved in shaping the strategy and governance of the organisation.
As a member, you will join a diverse network of landholders, community groups, Traditional Owners, industry representatives and local organisations working together to care for our region’s natural assets. Members play a key role through election of our Board of Directors and in connecting the community with our Directors to ensure we continue to understand stakeholders’ opportunities and challenges.
Southern Queensland Landscapes is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. We welcome tax-deductible financial contributions to directly support on-ground projects and NRM initiatives that make a real difference for our landscapes and communities.
Join us today and be part of a community shaping a sustainable future for Southern Queensland. People or organisations are eligible to become a member if they have an interest and/or involvement in NRM; are committed to the principles of sustainable NRM in the Southern Queensland Region; and their primary place of residence or business is within the Southern Queensland NRM Region[GM1] .
Individual member rights include the right to attend and vote at annual general meetings and other general meetings as applicable. In the case of companies or organisations this right is exercised through written delegation. The Southern Queensland Landscapes Board of Directors consists of six Directors plus the Chair. For the purposes of Director elections, the region is divided into the Western voting division and Eastern voting division, with three Directors representing each division.
