INVASION OF PESTS
Controlling introduced and feral pest species such as introduced garden plants, invasive exotic grasses, and feral animals is hugely important for improving condition of native vegetation. Introduced exotic and feral pest species will out compete native plants and animals, cause over grazing on native plants, and contribute to a higher bushfire risk by increased fuel loads in the plants.
Southern Queensland Landscapes has previously worked with landholders to control: African Boxthorn, Mother of Millions, Harrisia cactus, Velvety Tree pear, Coolatai grass and several other invasive and exotic pests.
